We are hosting an Introduction to Social Media workshop in Malton on Friday 19th February. The event will be free of charge and held during the day. Read more about our rational for this event in our earlier blog post Connecting for Nature through Social Media
• Have you considered Social Media for your business or cause?
• Are you bewildered by choice and unsure where to start?
• Do you need some pointers from a friendly expert?
Maybe you have stunning images of local landscapes or wildlife to share?
You might be a local tourism business looking to capitalise on the wildlife and landscapes of our area?
Perhaps you represent a Parish, a voluntary group or community interest that values the local environment and wishes to spread news of activities or simply communicate better with supporters and volunteers?
If any of the above rings true, we’d like to help. Our workshop will introduce complete beginners some of the most popular Social Media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Instagram. Other Social Media formats can also be included should attendees have a specific wish to find out about them.
The training will be provided by a social media specialist, supported by Connecting for Nature Partners. There will also be a presentation by Tom Marshall, Business Development Manager for the Yorkshire Nature Triangle, about promotion of our local wildlife and landscapes through social media, to strengthen what your business offers.
The workshop at Ryedale House on Fri. Feb 19th is now confirmed 10.30-3.30 but you could join us just for the morning if you are pressed for time. After lunch more hands-on practice. If you need to know more please contact Tim Burkinshaw 01723 374079. We have a small number of spaces left. If you can bring your smart phone, tablet or laptop we can help you get started right away.
